Concrete slabs, hydronic heating and four seasons in a day.
Most Melbourne floors go down on a concrete slab, and a growing share sit over hydronic heating. Both put a board under steady moisture and temperature change. A solid board moves with every season. A cheap engineered board moves too, just later.
Our cross-laminated eucalyptus core and birch ply backing hold the board flat through a dry heated winter and a humid summer.
